FROM THE DESK
OF THE ADMINISTRATOR
Hello to all,
Well here it is January! It seems as though I was just talking to you
about how winter will soon be upon us, well guess what’s here!
With that being said, bundle up and hope for the best, if it goes as fast as last
summer it will be over in no time!!! LOL. We have a few things planned this winter
and hope to get all of you involved. Last year around St. Patrick’s Day we held a
corn hole tournament, boy, what a great time was had. I have installed an
electronic soft tip dart board and hope to hold a few blind draw tournaments through
the winter. Please contact the office if you are interested in joining in, flyers will be
posted at the Lodge through the winter season. ( Remember, this is your Lodge and
participation is needed all year long.)
I am very pleased to inform you our membership is up! And that there are a couple of
promotions in place.
1.) Your Lodge #1610 is currently offering $10.00 in Moose Bucks to be spent at the Lodge
for new and former members who enroll between now and March 31st, 2012.
2.) Starting January 1st Moose International has a promotion waving the application fee
through April 30th, 2012.
3.) This means a total of $30.00 in savings for new and former members. Once again, this a
great way to support the fraternity, and your Lodge.
One last thing on membership: please remember that we need to retain the members we
currently have!!! We need to get the word out of the promotions available, talk to potential
Moose members, and contact members that we have sponsored in the past and find out the
reason for letting their membership lapse. I understand that times are tough for all of us, but
if the reason for members dropping can be fixed, we can fix the problem. Please contact me
if I can help you in our retention and membership efforts.
I also want to inform you that the women have a new board of officers. At this time most of
the officer’s seats have been filled, along with the majority of the chairs, but there is plenty
of room for volunteers and help along the way who may want to get involved. Please come
out and support your chapter as well as the Lodge. I know we can all work together for the
betterment of your Lodge. The WOTM will also be cooking and serving dinner on the first
Wednesday of every month starting in January. As always the WOTM will have my support,
as well as the LOOM board of officers.
I hope that everyone had a very joyous holiday season, and wish everyone a very safe and
fun filled winter. I hope to see all of you at the Lodge this winter.
